a little bit of history…

A structured finance lawyer by education and training, I turned to flowers as a creative outlet after having moved from NYC to Boston after 9/11. I trained with Paula Pryke in London and also became certified as a professional florist in the US, through Cass in Boston. I am a member of the Weston Garden Club; a Committee Member for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Garden Party (former-June 2017); and a former member of the Nantucket Garden Club, where I served as a judge for the Nantucket Flower Show in 2014.

my experience…

I have created floral designs and decorations for a variety of clients within the private sector as well as within the not for profit sector for events both small and large, and in locations both modern and historic.

some highlights…

  • Design and decoration of a Christmas tree for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s “Festival of Trees”, proceeds of which are earmarked for educational programs at Mass Hort (Wellesley, MA)

  • Design and decoration of the interior of the Cheney-Baltzell Manor House (a Carrere- Hastings design) and of the tables placed throughout the Italianate Garden for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Annual Garden Party at Elm Bank (Wellesley, MA)

  • Design and Decoration of pre-Civil War era home for Holiday House Tour (MetroWest Boston area)—House Tour resulted in close to $18,000 for scholarships raised in a six hour day;

  • Weddings (Newport, RI)

  • Luncheons and dinner parties (Boston, Nantucket, New York, San Francisco);

  • Collegiate alumni events (Boston area);

In addition to creating arrangements for events, I also create floral designs to enhance real estate listings, and I have enjoyed working with top producing Coldwell Banker brokers on photo shoots, brokers’ open houses and office arrangements.

Finally, I have taught beginner and children’s floral design courses and am always thinking about when I might launch another course....
